1. Information We Collect
Account & Identity Data
When you register or make a booking, we collect your full name, phone number, email address, and — where applicable — your Emirates ID number (for corporate account verification). This information is required to create your profile and confirm your identity.
Booking & Trip Data
We record pickup and drop-off locations, journey timestamps, vehicle preferences, special requests, and trip history. This data powers our core service — matching you with the right vehicle and tracking ride progress for your safety.
Payment Data
Payment card details are processed and stored by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor (Stripe / Network International). ZUbirides does not store full card numbers on its own servers. We retain only the last four digits and card type for your reference.
Device & Usage Data
We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type and version, operating system, referral URLs, pages visited, and interaction timestamps. On mobile, we may collect device model and OS version. This data is used to improve platform performance and detect fraud.
Location Data
With your explicit permission, we collect precise GPS location via the mobile application to enable real-time pickup coordination and live trip tracking. You may disable location access at any time through your device settings, though this may limit certain features.
Communications
We retain records of support conversations (email, chat, WhatsApp) and customer feedback to improve service quality and resolve disputes. Call recordings may be made with prior notification for quality and training purposes.
2. How We Use Your Data
Service Delivery
Your data is primarily used to fulfil your bookings — dispatching a premium driver, calculating fares, processing payments, and sending booking confirmations and receipts via SMS and email.
Safety & Verification
We use identity and trip data to verify passengers and drivers, investigate incidents, and maintain a safe environment for all parties. This may include sharing relevant data with UAE law enforcement if legally required.
Personalisation & Communication
With your consent, we send promotional offers, service updates, and personalised recommendations based on your booking history. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking 'Unsubscribe' in any email or by contacting us directly.
Analytics & Improvement
Aggregated and anonymised data helps us understand demand patterns, optimise driver deployment across Dubai, and improve the user experience. This analysis never identifies individual users.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance
We retain certain records as required by UAE federal and emirate-level regulations, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), consumer protection laws, and anti-money-laundering requirements.
4. Third-Party Sharing
Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf, including payment processors, SMS/email gateway providers (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud), and mapping services. All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Premium Drivers & Partners
Your first name and pickup location are shared with the assigned premium driver to facilitate the journey. Premium drivers do not have access to your payment details, email address, or full contact number beyond what is required for the booking.
Legal Disclosure
We may disclose your data to UAE governmental or regulatory authorities (including Dubai Police, RTA, or courts) when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ZUbirides, its users, or the public.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of ZUbirides assets, customer data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify affected users via email and/or prominent website notice before data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
No Data Sales
ZUbirides does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Period.
5. Your Rights
Right of Access
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time. Requests will be fulfilled within 30 days in accordance with UAE PDPL requirements.
Right to Rectification
If your data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request correction. You can update most personal details directly in your ZUbirides account settings.
Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of your personal data. We will comply unless retention is required by law (e.g., financial records retained for UAE tax/VAT purposes) or to resolve an open dispute.
Right to Restrict Processing
You may ask us to pause processing your data in certain circumstances — for example, while we verify the accuracy of disputed information.
Right to Data Portability
You may request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV) to transfer to another service provider.

Submit a request to info@zubirides.com with the subject line 'Data Rights Request'. Please include your registered phone number or email address so we can verify your identity before processing the request.
